Anti-Racism, Discrimination, and Bullying Policy for the SSC WhatsApp Community
We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all members. Discrimination, racism, and bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
Respect and Kindness: Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and understanding. Embrace diversity and be mindful of others' backgrounds, cultures, and identities.
Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: Any form of racism, discrimination, or hate speech based on race, religion, gender, or identity is strictly prohibited.
No Bullying or Harassment: Bullying, personal attacks, or any form of harassment, whether verbal or written, will not be accepted. We encourage healthy discussions, but not at the expense of others. This also applies to comments about people who may not be a part of the community. Think before you say something- if you wouldn’t say it directly to the person you are talking about, please don’t say it within the WhatsApp community.
Report Inappropriate Behaviour: If you witness or experience any harmful behaviour, please report it to the group admins immediately. We must all look out for each other- even if something doesn’t offend you it may offend someone else, and that person may not feel able to speak up. If you report something to a group admin, your identity will be kept confidential and not disclosed to the group or the person who made the comment. The admins monitor the conversation threads but everyone who partakes has a responsibility to speak up if they see something inappropriate.
If inappropriate/abusive comments are made, the member who made the comment will be given one formal warning by SSC. If a second incident occurs, the member will be banned from the WhatsApp community immediately.
