SSC WhatsApp community standards
SSC is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive and constructive space. Racism, discrimination, bullying and harassment are not tolerated.
Respect and kindness
Treat everyone with respect, kindness and understanding. Embrace diversity and be mindful of other people’s backgrounds, cultures and identities.
No discrimination or hate speech
Racism, discrimination or hate speech based on race, religion, gender, identity or any other personal characteristic is prohibited.
No bullying, harassment or personal attacks
Healthy disagreement is welcome; personal attacks are not. This also applies to comments about people outside the community. If you wouldn’t say it directly to someone, don’t say it about them in the group.
Report harmful behaviour
If you witness or experience harmful behaviour, report it to a group admin as soon as possible. Everyone has a responsibility to speak up, particularly when the person affected may not feel able to do so themselves.
Reports will be handled confidentially. Your identity will not be disclosed to the group or to the person whose behaviour you reported.
What happens next
A member who makes an inappropriate or abusive comment will receive one formal warning from SSC. A second incident will result in removal from the WhatsApp community.
